The cure for thumb sucking!

Well, it has been an exciting day at the Dunbar's. We finally found the cure to thumb sucking. Abby was walking out of the library with her hands in her pockets and slipped on the snowy curve. She planted her face into the concrete and split her lip wide open. Mouth wounds tend to look like they are gushing blood so of course it looked really bad. We took her to the clinic because I could tell it was a pretty good gash. Of course, it was lunch hour! No docs anywhere to be found. The nurse looked at it and was sure we would need stitches. So we sat and waited for the doc to get back from lunch. He looked at it and thought it would be okay with no stitches. Thank goodness for that. How the heck do you get a four year old to sit still for stitches in their lip anyway???? So now she looks like Bubba Gump, but in her princess costume, who cares!!

On a happier note, Skylar tried out pigtails for the first time today. She looks pretty cute!
